second round-the-world trip

This trip began on March 2, in Xi’an. I went accross Asia to the Mediterranean Sea, following the ancient Silk Road. I made a stop in Barcelona and then I came back to the Middle East.  So far, I’ve travelled by China’s Shaanxi, Qinghai, Gansu and Xinjiang provinces, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Iran, Armenia, Nagorno-Karabakh, Georgia, Catalonia, Turkey, Syria, Lebanon, Southern and Northern Cyprus, Israel, the Palestinian Territories and Jordan. The African stage of the trip has just started.

Este viaje empezó el 2 de marzo, en Xi’an. Crucé Asia siguiendo la Ruta de la Seda hasta el Mediterráneo, hice una parada en Barcelona y regresé a Medio Oriente. Hasta ahora, he viajado por las provincias chinas de Shaanxi, Qinghai, Gansu y Xinjiang; por Kirguistán, Uzbekistán, Irán, Armenia, Nagorno-Karabaj, Georgia, Cataluña, Turquía, Siria, Líbano, Chipre Sur y Norte, Israel, los territorios palestinos y Jordania. Ahora inicia la etapa africana.

My main activity is writing. In English, I wrote the “Mexico City Today” chapter of the TimeOut’s book Mexico City and the Best of Mexico (2009).  My other two books are in Spanish, only. Take a look on them, anyway: A similar thing happens with my shorter texts, though you might find some examples in English. Here you’ll find the full text of my travel stories. If you feel curious to know about the trips I’ve made, you’ll find the maps here.

Nonetheless, I love photography. I’m far from being a professional, but I’m an enthusiastic fan. I’m having a hard time trying to get my images in order, but meanwhile, I can show you some of my pics from Asia, Africa, Oceania and America (I’ll be adding Europe soon).
